Bimetallic steam traps - the working element of a bimetallic steam trap is a valve stem with bimetallic plates fixed on it. This unit consists of separately bonded pairs of plates with different expansion coefficients. The plates are selected in such a way that in the cold state the plates are a flat disk. When heated, the plates expand unevenly, which leads to their bending.
